Heather - BRRAF bonder / fosterer
"I’ve had rabbits for as long as I can remember and have been involved in husbandry, rescuing and general welfare for several years. In 2018, I had the pleasure of working with The Rabbit Doctors (in Australia) as an assistant in the surgery and on housecalls for a year, working with incredible vets on some amazing cases. I then moved back to the UK and continued my own involvement in rescue and care in London until November 2019, when I moved to Bath and quickly got as involved in Bristol Rabbit Rescue and Friends as I could!
I have a keen interest particularly in special needs rabbits, as all of my own have varying disabilities and health issues.
I live in Bath and currently have four troublesome housebunnies of my own: my giant Clementine who’s 5, my agouti boy Saxon who’s 10, my 4 year old head tilt bunny Ezra and my sixteen week old splay leg bunny Cardi. I also have a further four ‘family’ bunnies back around my parents’ house in Cumbria!
When I’m not bonding for the rescue or chasing fosters around, I’m bonding and boarding bunnies as part of my own business - or Instagramming the bunnies’ every move!”
